ASTM A792 DX51D Galvalume Steel Coil AZ30-AZ150 for Roofing and Building Applications
1.Product Overview
ASTM A792 Galvalume Steel Coil is manufactured using a 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon alloy coating to provide enhanced corrosion resistance compared with conventional galvanized steel. The product is widely used for roofing, wall cladding, appliances, transportation equipment, industrial fabrication, and building envelope systems.
Available in DX51D grade with coating options from AZ30 to AZ150, the material combines excellent formability, heat reflectivity, and long-term outdoor durability for construction and manufacturing applications.
2.Technical Solution
The steel substrate is continuously hot-dip coated with a Galvalume alloy consisting of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon. The aluminum-rich coating improves atmospheric corrosion resistance, while zinc provides sacrificial protection to exposed edges and cut sections.
Surface treatments such as passivation, chromating, anti-fingerprint coating, light oiling, and dry treatment further improve storage stability and processing performance.
