Steel bar grating is engineered for high strength and robust structural performance, manufactured from carbon steel, aluminum, or stainless steel. Available in four primary types—welded bar grating, press-locked grating, swage-locked grating, and riveted grating—with both smooth and serrated surface designs. This versatile product serves numerous industrial applications including stair treads, walkways, platforms, flooring, trench covers, wheeled equipment, security screens, and heavy-duty construction projects.

  • Width: Panel width specification
  • Bearing Bars: Primary load-carrying structural elements
  • Bearing Bars Spacing: Center-to-center measurement in 1/16″ increments. Standard industrial flooring spacing is 19/16″ (1-3/16″). Other common spacings include 15/16″, 11/16″, 1/2″, and 7/16″ on center
  • Bearing Bars Depth: Ranges from 3/4″ to 7″ based on anticipated load requirements
  • Bearing Bars Thickness: Ranges from 1/8″ to 1/2″ depending on load specifications
  • Cross Bars: Structural elements that secure bearing bar positioning
  • Cross Bar Spacing: Center-to-center measurement in 1″ increments. Standard spacing is 4″ or 2″ on center
