Industrial Marine Heavy Duty Galvanized Steel Grating
Steel grating, also known as bar grating or metal grating, is an open grid assembly of metal bars designed to hold heavy loads with minimal weight. The bearing bars, running in one direction, are spaced by rigid attachment to crossbars running perpendicular to them or by bent connecting bars extending between them.
This heavy-duty galvanized steel grating is widely used as floors, mezzanines, stair treads, fencing, trench covers, and maintenance platforms in factories, workshops, motor rooms, trolley channels, heavy loading areas, boiler equipment, and heavy equipment areas.
Manufacturing Processes
Welded Grating
The most commonly used and economical design suitable for most industrial applications. Manufactured by welding the bearing bar and crossbar intersection, typically with automated forge welding equipment or professional manual welding. Available in carbon steel or stainless steel.
Swaged Pressure Locked
Assembled by inserting pre-punched bearing and cross bars into an "egg-crate" configuration and deforming the cross bars under intense hydraulic pressure. Available in all materials and ideal for architectural and ornamental applications.
Dovetail Pressure Locked
Insert the cross bar into the pre-punched bearing bar and hydraulically deform it to lock it in place. The cross bar here is usually a straight plate shaped like a bearing bar.
Welded Swaged Pressure Locked
An upgraded version of the swaged pressure locked design. Each intersection is manually welded once to make it stronger and capable of withstanding heavier loads.
