FM200 (HFC-227ea) is a colorless, tasteless, non-corrosive, and electrically insulating gas that leaves no residue or pollution after extinguishing. Its Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) is zero, making it an environmentally friendly extinguishing agent. These properties make it particularly suitable for locations where electrical fires are likely to occur.
Combined with the extinguishing device and electronic accessories, the entire system can be actuated automatically. It monitors the protected area through detectors and activates the extinguishing device via a solenoid actuator. This enables fully automated operation, eliminating the risk of an unnoticed fire and reducing the cost of personnel required to supervise the protected area.
The system also supports management of multiple zones through selective valves. A single system can protect multiple zones by directing the agent to the specific zone where a fire occurs, ensuring efficient and rapid suppression. A small storage room should be reserved for housing the complete system.
The system is suitable for protecting high-value and sensitive environments, including:
It is also ideal for locations where fire is likely to occur, such as:
The illustration below shows the working principle of the complete system.
