ASTM C666 Concrete Rapid Freeze Thaw Test Machine
The ASTM C666 Concrete rapid freeze thaw test machine uses the water-freeze-thaw method to test the freeze-thaw resistance of concrete specimens with an appearance requirement of 100×100×400 mm. It can hold three sets of specimens (10 specimens including one central specimen) at a time. During testing, specimens are placed in test rubber cylinders filled with water, which are then positioned in a specimen tank containing antifreeze. The machine relies on cooling or heating of the antifreeze to freeze and thaw specimens within the rubber cylinders, completing the freeze-thaw test cycle.
The equipment operates fully automatically without human intervention. It automatically stops after completing the set number of tests (default: 50 cycles) and issues an audible alert to indicate test completion. To continue testing, the cycle count can be incremented and the machine restarted.
