Wheelchair Seat (backrest) Flame Tester ISO 7176, ISO 16840-10
Introduction:

The wheelchair seat (backrest) flame tester was developed and manufactured according to "ISO7176-16-2012, ISO 16840, GB/T18029-2000 standards: requirements and test methods for the flame retardancy of wheelchair seat (backrest) cushions, including smoldering and flame burning tests." This equipment simulates cigarettes and matches as ignition sources to test and evaluate the ignition resistance of wheelchair seat (backrest) cushion materials. This test only measures the flame retardancy of the submitted material against cigarettes and matches, and cannot measure the fire resistance of the finished wheelchair. This test only provides an explanation, not a guarantee, regarding the ignition of the finished wheelchair.

I. Test Chamber and Sample Holder Section
▪ 1. The sample holder is made of a stainless steel plate, corrosion resistant.
▪ 2. Independent gas control cabinet.
▪ 3. Sample holder dimensions: Backrest frame: 450mm x 300mm; Chair/table frame: 450mm x 150mm; the frames can be fixed at right angles via hinges.
▪ 4. Sample Holder 1: Backrest frame: 450mm x 450mm; Chair/table frame: 450mm x 300mm; (optional).
▪ 5. Equipped with metal needles for passing cigarettes.
▪ 6. Wire mesh diagonal length: 28mm.
II. Butane Flame Control System
▪ 1. Independent gas control box, dimensions: 570*400*420mm.
▪ 2. Imported gas flow meter accurately displays gas flow rate 0~500ml/min; (for flame control of ignition sources 1, 2, and 3).
▪ 3. System 1-hour timeout reminder function.
▪ 4. Imported needle valve for precise gas flow rate control.
▪ 5. Stainless steel burner, outer diameter 8mm±0.1mm, inner diameter 6.5mm±0.1mm, length 200±5mm.
▪ 6. Burner angle adjustable horizontally and vertically.
▪ 7. Imported gas pressure regulating valve.
▪ 8. Precision gas pressure gauge.
▪ 9. Equipped with a timer with an accuracy of 1s.
▪ 10. Test environment: temperature 10.0℃~30.0℃, relative humidity 15.0%~80%.
