Coal Tar Pitch for Graphite Products - Black Color
Coal asphalt is divided into three types: low-temperature asphalt, medium-temperature asphalt, and high-temperature asphalt. The applications of coal asphalt are quite extensive.
Primary Applications
- Fuel Source: Due to its high solid content, it is generally mixed with heavy oil or made into a slurry for use, which can partially replace heavy oil
- Carbon Electrode Production: The carbon in coal asphalt has a relatively high degree of graphitization, which can be used as electrode materials or as an emulsifier and binder
- Waterproof Coatings: After processing, it can be used for waterproof coatings for buildings and pipes
- Construction Materials: When mixed with petroleum asphalt, it can be used for road construction and building materials
- High-Value Products: Can be used to produce high-value-added products such as needle-like coke, activated carbon, and carbon fibers
