The disc pelletizer features an arc design with a granulating ratio exceeding 93%. This balling disc pelletizer is essential equipment for transforming powder materials into spherical shapes, widely used in cement, iron and steel, and chemical fertilizer industries. Working Principle
The disc prewatering pelletizer operates by adding water (typically 11-15% of dry powder volume) to raw materials in spray form within a blender. After thorough mixing and permeation, raw material particles uniformly absorb water and adhere to form 1-2mm diameter pellet nuclei. These nuclei and wet powder enter the disc pelletizer where scrolling action forms larger balls. As moist balls and powder continue scrolling, adhesion occurs rapidly, growing ball diameter until reaching optimal size for discharge.
The disc pelletizer comprises several key components: disc body, cleaning device, main bearing assembly, main transmission drive, angle adjustment equipment, and frame structure.
