Steel Grating Systems For Rapid Installation, Maintenance and Long-Life Service
Product Overview:
Our Multi-Profile Steel Grating Kits are engineered for projects that require rapid selection between safety, drainage and load-bearing performance. Each kit contains representative panels—fine mesh safety step, standard welded grating, press-locked drainage grates and serrated heavy-duty panels—so project engineers can trial fit, compare anti-slip behavior and confirm drainage/open area on site before full procurement.
Manufactured to precise dimensional tolerances, panels are available with a choice of bearing bar sections and cross-bar retention methods. Serrated top profiles increase skid resistance in oily or wet environments; smooth profiles provide lower noise and easier cleaning for indoor mezzanines. Hot-dip galvanizing or factory powder coat finishes are applied to extend life in outdoor or corrosive environments.

Manufacturing Variants & Why Choose Each
Welded Grating: highest static stiffness — use where fixed heavy loads occur (platforms, machine bases).
Swage-Locked / Press-Locked: economical, good for large area decking with lower localized loads; panels can be field-assembled.
Serrated Top Bars: mandatory for slip-critical zones (stair treads, ramps).
Twist-Locked Cross Rods: increased shear retention for dynamic loads near moving equipment.

Installation, Handling & Maintenance
Pre-fit panels on templates to check tolerances; store off-ground to avoid corrosion.
Use specified clip & bolt systems; torque values supplied with packing list.
For access panels specify quick-release clips or hinged assemblies.
Regular maintenance: sweep & jet wash, inspect welds & coating annually; touch-up coatings on cut edges post-installation.

Specification:
| Item | Typical Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bearing Bar Section | 25×3, 30×5, 40×6 mm (custom) | Wider section → higher span/load. |
| Cross Bar Type | Twist rod Ø6–8 mm, Flat bar 5–8 mm | Welded or press-locked options. |
| Bar Spacing | 20 / 30 / 40 mm typical | Affects open area & load distribution. |
| Panel Size | Std 1000×2000 mm; cut-to-size | Panels can be supplied with welded frames. |
| Surface Finish | HDG / Powder coat / Bare | HDG recommended for outdoor/marine. |
| Anti-Slip | Serrated, Grip-pattern (to meet R13 / PTV reqs) | Specify testing standard if critical. |
| Representative UDL | 4–20 kN/m² (by section) | Final spec requires structural calcs. |
| Typical Weight | 8–30 kg/m² (varies by section) | Used for handling & span design. |
Quality Assurance, Packaging & Samples
Each production lot includes material certificates, dimensional inspection report and a sample panel upon request. Panels are palletized with edge protection and shrink-wrapped or crated for export; special sea-fast packing available for offshore projects. Third-party load testing and salt-spray reports can be provided for project bids.
