Demister Pad Features
1. High Separation Efficiency
The "zigzag" path created by the knitted loops ensures that even microscopic droplets (down to 3 microns) are forced to collide with the wire surface. It achieves a typical removal efficiency of 99% or higher.
2. Low Pressure Drop
Because the pad is composed of roughly 97% to 99% open space (void volume), it provides minimal resistance to gas flow. This reduces the energy load on your fans and compressors.
3. Durability in Harsh Media
Thermal Stability: Both SS316 and Monel maintain structural integrity at high operating temperatures.
Chemical Longevity: Monel prevents the rapid thinning of wires often seen in acidic gas streams, extending the service life of the pad from months to years.
4. Simple Installation & Maintenance
These pads can be manufactured in sections (way-segments) to fit through manways, making them easy to install or replace without dismantling the entire vessel.

Marine and Offshore
Monel demisters are essential in Desalination plants and Offshore Oil & Gas platforms where salt-laden air and seawater spray would quickly corrode standard stainless steel.
Chemical & Petrochemical Processing
Used in Vacuum Towers and Evaporators to prevent product loss and protect expensive catalysts from liquid poisoning. SS316 is frequently used in fatty acid and pharmaceutical processing.
Acid Plants
Monel is the preferred material for mist elimination in processes involving Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) or high-concentration sulfuric acid, where standard metals would dissolve.
Environmental Scrubbing
Used in Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) and tail-gas scrubbers to ensure that the "plume" exiting the stack is free of chemical-laden droplets.
