Unlike standard acoustic felt, this grade is optimized for Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Impact Insulation Class (IIC) improvement. It can be easily cut with a utility knife to fit any floor plan, stud bay, or joist cavity. The material is compressible yet resilient, providing long-term stability under laminate, engineered wood, or beneath plasterboard. It contains no bitumen, rubber crumb, or harmful volatiles, making it a clean, odourless choice for interior builds. With a high NRC and excellent vibration damping, this felt mat is the hidden workhorse of effective soundproofing assemblies.
