Working Principle

The side type hydraulic breaker attachment operates on a hydraulic-pneumatic cycle:

  1. Charging Stroke: Hydraulic oil enters the lower cylinder chamber, pushing the piston upward and compressing nitrogen in the top accumulator to store energy.
  2. Impact Stroke: When the piston reaches the top, the hydraulic valve reverses. High-pressure oil and expanding nitrogen drive the piston downward at high speed to strike the chisel.
  3. Energy Transfer: Impact force travels through the chisel to break concrete, asphalt or rock.
  4. Cycle Repeat: The piston returns to the starting position, repeating 400–800 times per minute for continuous breaking.

The open triangular frame dissipates heat quickly, supporting long continuous operation without performance degradation.
