The processor has a signal processing circuit that is provided with a digital signal processor. The digital processor generates a coarse video signal that is indirectly displayable on a video screen from image signals generated by a charge coupled device sensor .An auxiliary circuit has a correction circuit that generates another coarse video signal that is directly displayable on the video screen included for the following: (a) video endoscope (b) a camera for an endoscope.

The Conmed 50 L insufflator is a laparoscopic CO2 insufflation unit that establishes and maintains pneumoperitoneum during minimally invasive surgery. It delivers gas flow up to 50 litres per minute through a single-port design, and the warmed gas path helps reduce the cooling and drying effect of cold insufflation on the peritoneal surface. Safe Use and Maintenance

Use only medical-grade CO2 with a clean, dry regulator, and check the over-pressure protection and alarm limits as part of the daily pre-use test. Inline hydrophobic filters must be replaced at the interval defined by the facility protocol, and tubing should be inspected for cracks before every case. Veress needle or trocar placement should always follow the pressure readings displayed by the unit. Remove the water trap and allow the unit to run a self-test before the first case of the day.
