The Dynisco PT4624-10M-6/18-SIL2 is a two-wire 4-20 mA melt-pressure transmitter with a nominal measurement range of 0 to 10,000 psi. It is intended for higher-pressure polymer-processing systems that require an amplified current signal for a PLC, process controller or monitoring system.
The flexible-capillary construction separates the electronics housing from the high-temperature process connection. Its safety-oriented SIL2 designation must be evaluated together with the machine safety architecture, diagnostic coverage and required proof-test procedure.

The receiving controller must be scaled for 10,000 psi at the upper end of the 4-20 mA signal. Pressure spikes, startup conditions and process blockages must be considered when confirming range suitability. Mechanical condition of the mounting hole is also important for reliable installation.
Verify the 10M range, complete suffix, 4-20 mA input, loop supply, connector, rigid and flexible lengths, 1/2-20 UNF mounting hole and safety requirements. Do not replace it with an mV/V device without changing the instrumentation and wiring.
