It converts pressure acting on the high-temperature process diaphragm into a two-wire 4–20 mA signal. Typical uses include extrusion lines, polymer processing equipment and machinery where the electronic housing must be separated from the hottest measurement point by a rigid stem and flexible capillary.

Control-System Scaling

The B05C code specifies a 0–500 bar measuring span, also associated with the nominal 7500 psi class. A controller configured for the 350 bar B35D version will display an incorrect pressure when connected to this transmitter, even though the electrical signal format is the same. During commissioning, configure 4 mA as 0 bar and 20 mA as 500 bar, then verify the engineering unit used by alarms, trends and shutdown logic.
