Product Overview

This 4 x AA battery holder with an integrated on/off switch is designed to create portable power packs. It accommodates four AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable) wired in series, providing a nominal output of 6V DC for alkaline batteries and 4.8V DC for rechargeable batteries. The holder features a snap-on cover and a convenient on/off switch, ideal for applications where an integrated switch is beneficial. Updated with 0.1" headers on the cable ends, it offers easy connectivity to breadboards or other headers, while also allowing for soldering or cutting the ends as needed. This product is suitable for powering various projects, particularly 5V systems when using rechargeable batteries, or with the addition of a voltage-dropping diode for alkaline batteries.
