This custom CNC machined C110 copper electrode is designed for sinker EDM operations used to produce deep cavities, narrow ribs and intricate details in hardened injection mold inserts. The electrode's working face transfers the required negative geometry into the tool steel through controlled electrical discharge.
Copper offers good electrical conductivity and is widely used for EDM electrodes, while the final geometry must account for the specified spark gap, electrode wear and flushing conditions.
Before production, confirm the mold cavity drawing, electrode compensation allowance, mounting reference, required surface finish and whether flushing holes are needed. The electrode profile should be inspected against the compensated CAD model before EDM setup.
