Introduction:

Giemsa stain can be used as a dye intermediate and analytical reagent. It is used to determine indole, skatole, urea blue, tryptophan and ergot alkaloids, and is also used to distinguish serum eruptions from scarlet fever. In terms of dyes, it can be used to synthesize pressure-sensitive and heat-sensitive dyes.

Uses:

1. Used as a protozoan stain, especially suitable for staining blood and blood protozoa such as Plasmodium.
2. Can be used to make blood smears to examine parasitic protozoa such as Plasmodium and trypanosomes; stain pathogenic spirochetes (such as Leptospira, Borrelia, etc.), Chemicalbook viruses, Rickettsia, peroxidase, chromosomes, etc.; can also be used in tissue culture research and reagents. Cell culture grade is used for chromosome staining and morphological differentiation of platelets, red blood cells, white blood cells and other cell types.
