Polysorbate 20 (Tween 20) Cas 9005-64-5, Water-Soluble Nonionic Surfactant (Hlb 16.5), As High-Efficiency Solubilizing Additive
Polysorbate 20, also known as Tween 20, is a water-soluble nonionic surfactant with an HLB value of 16.7. It appears as a pale yellow, transparent, viscous liquid with a slight odor. The product is readily soluble in water, ethanol, and many organic solvents, but insoluble in mineral oil.
Key Properties
This surfactant exhibits excellent penetrating power, wetting power, solubilizing, emulsifying, and dispersing properties. It is resistant to hard water, acids, and alkalis, and maintains chemical stability. Polysorbate 20 can be compounded with various anionic, cationic, and nonionic auxiliaries.
