Gabion es refers to a steel wire mesh cage woven by machine, which is made of low-carbon steel wire, the surface of the steel wire is hot-dip galvanized or PVC treated.

Gabion es is filled with stones at the construction site, forming a flat box structure with flexible, permeable and integral characteristics, and is used for erosion prevention works such as bank slope protection.

Specification of the gabion es

The height of the Gabion es is much smaller than its width and width, there will be a diaphragm at every 1 meter, the size of gabion es is designed as cutomer's requirements, such as following.

• Gabion es shall be 300mm deep or to the dimension
• Gabion es shall be 2m wide and 3m or 6m long as required.

Geotextile

A layer of geotextile is added between the top surface of the river embankment and the bottom layer of the gabion es, in order to stabilize and constrain the displacement of the gabion mesh, and transfer or disperse the local stress of the soil in a large area, so as to enhance the friction resistance between the soil and the geotextile.

At the same time, geotextile can protect and prevent erosion of soil or water surface, prevent soil particles from passing through, and reduce soil structure damage caused by soil particle loss.
