The air energy heat pump dryer is a newly developed type of drying device. Its working principle involves special use of low-temperature heat energy produced in the exhaust gas of the dryer or drying room. This energy is raised to generate a higher temperature, after which it is used to sustainably heat the drying medium entering the dryer. Meanwhile, the moisture found in the exhaust gas is cooled and condensed into a liquid water state, thereby being discharged.
To support this process of drying, a refrigerant is firstly compressed by a compressor into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas. This gas is then entered into a condenser, which helps releases its heat. This released heat is then carried forward by a circulated fan and directed to the dryer, in order to heat the air within the room. This allows up to a maximum outlet temperature of 75°C; here, the moisture in the product is evaporated as the air temperature rises. Lastly, the fresh air dehumidification system is responsible for bringing dehumidification and achieving drying effect.

Moreover, the closed thermal cycle prevents the dust and odor being discharged into the environment with the exhaust gas, resulting in no pollution. What's more, the air source heat pump dryer has a wide range of applications, such as in seaweed and other seafood, tobacco, agricultural products, wood, dried cured meat and more.
