This 8HP65 steel plate kit is designed for ZF's second-generation 8-speed automatic transmission including steel plates in the clutch assembly. The 8HP65 is a Gen2 member of ZF's 8HP family with Audi internal codes 0D5/AL552-8Q and ZF code 8HP65A, handling 700N·m torque for Audi Q7 Q8 A8 A6 A4 and Porsche Cayenne longitudinal AWD models. Steel plates provide support and power transmission surfaces - long-term use causes wear leading to clutch slip reverse shudder or shift shocks. This kit uses high-strength wear-resistant material meeting OEM specs - replacing together with friction discs restores proper clutch clearance and shift smoothness.
