AMAXPOWER GM Series VRLA AGM Battery, AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat, which is a type of lead-acid battery technology. AGM batteries are often used as a specific variant of VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead Acid) batteries.
1:Construction: AGM batteries consist of a fiberglass mat that is saturated with electrolyte, which is then sandwiched between the battery's lead plates. The mat absorbs and immobilizes the electrolyte, preventing it from spilling or flowing freely even if the battery is tipped or damaged.
2:Sealed Design: AGM batteries are sealed and maintenance-free. The design incorporates a valve that allows the controlled release of gases, preventing the buildup of pressure inside the battery. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance, such as adding water or checking electrolyte levels.
3:Low Internal Resistance: AGM batteries have a lower internal resistance compared to traditional flooded lead-acid batteries. This results in higher discharge and charge rates, making AGM batteries suitable for applications that require high power output or rapid recharging.
