BOPP thermal laminating film is manufactured through multiple extrusion processes, first creating biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP), then coating with hot melt EVA adhesion. AfterPrinting offers customized thickness, width, and length options, along with custom labeling and carton services.

BOPP Thermal Laminating Film is primarily composed of BOPP + EVA layers combined through extrusion coating process. The final film features BOPP film properties on one side and a heat-sensitive surface for dry lamination on the other. Available in glossy/shine/transparent and matte/opaque classifications, with thickness ranging from 14micron to 32micron. Width options from 180mm to 1880mm and length from 150m (1 inch core, 25mm) to 4000m (3 inch core, 76mm).
Requires a laminating machine (hot laminator) to melt the EVA layer onto substrates like paper. The film passes over a heated roller and adheres to the paper under appropriate pressure. This easy process can be performed at home for small applications. Also known as heat lamination, dry lamination, or hot lamination.
Quality may be affected by: metal ink, excessive wax/oil/adhesive/silicon in ink, thick ink layers, insufficient drying, humid paper, or excessive surface powder.
Airbags used for pallet protection during container loading.
