Thermal lamination film is produced by multi extrusion coating lines. It consists of two layers: plastic film (mainly BOPP or PET film) and adhesive glue (EVA). Also known as dry, hot, or heat lamination film.
Printing houses use BOPP Thermal Lamination Film rolls for commercial and school printings. It can also be used for graphic arts large format applications. The transparent film lamination (bright/shine/glossy or matte/dull) is heated as protection on paper covers. Sometimes called paper lamination film used by heating EVA adhesive glue onto paper substrates.
Specific applications of BOPP Thermal Laminating Film Roll include:
Lamination process joins two or more layers to protect prints. Requires a hot laminator (thermal/heat/dry lamination roller machine) to melt EVA adhesive onto paper surface. During the process, film passes over a heated roller and sticks to paper under reasonable pressure. This easy process can be done at home for small applications. Also called heat lamination, dry lamination, or hot lamination.
