The Parking Barrier Gate Loop Detector is a specialized sensor designed for parking barrier gates, capable of efficiently identifying and detecting all types of vehicles including oversized vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, and more, ensuring automatic gate opening and closing.

Switch 1 - Sensitivity Selection

Sensitivity can be adjusted via the "Sensitivity" trimpot with 16 different settings (0 = least sensitive, "F" = most sensitive).

  • DIP1 ON: Output has 2 seconds delay (No relay output if vehicle speed exceeds 8km/h)
  • DIP2 ON: Increases sensitivity to avoid unwanted relay off for leaving vehicles, especially trailers

ON ON Can be used to test the Loop. If the loop is faulty, Relay B will be on and it will switch off once the fault is fixed.

When installing two or more loop detectors and sensing loops, set one detector to high frequency and the other to low frequency to minimize cross-talk effects. Position sensing loops and detectors at least 2m apart.

Reset Button
Important: The LD-100 must be reset every time a setting change is made to the DIP switches.
Detector Position and Installation
  • Install the detector in a weatherproof housing
  • Position the detector as close to the sensing loop as possible
  • Install away from strong magnetic fields
  • Avoid running high voltage wires near the loop detectors
  • Do not install on vibrating objects
  • For distances under 10 meters: Use normal wires to connect control box to loop
  • For distances over 10 meters: Use 2-core shielded cable (do not exceed 30 meters)

Loops are sealed using "quick-set" black epoxy compound or hot bitumen mastic to blend with roadway surface.

Troubleshooting
  • Detector not working: Press reset
  • Red LED indicator not fully lit: Check power supply
  • Green LED indicator blinking slowly: Loop short circuit or insufficient number of turns
  • Green LED indicator blinking faster: Loop open or excessive number of turns
  • Insufficient turns: Lower frequency (if still too high, add more turns)
  • Excessive turns: Higher frequency (if still too low, remove some turns)
