CL20-16L 2000mm 16 Beams Safety Blanking Light Curtain Sensor IP67 Waterproof
CL20-16L Infrared Safety Light Curtain Sensor with Blanking Function for Industrial Doors
Product Overview
The JUTAI safety light curtain CL20-16L operates by establishing a beam of light between the emitter and receiver, creating a protective barrier. When an object or person enters the grid area, the light beam is interrupted, promptly activating the safety system to execute appropriate actions. Typically installed at vital points of machinery such as doors, automatic doors, and lifting equipment, it enables immediate detection of potential crushing risks. This product is extensively employed in industrial and commercial settings and serves as a crucial element in automation systems where high safety levels are imperative.
Operating Modes
Blanking Mode
The safety light curtain is mounted within the door gap. During normal door closing, the light beams are blocked sequentially from top to bottom. The system interprets this sequential blocking as regular door-closing operation. However, if an object passes underneath and obstructs the light beam while the door is closing, the door will open instantaneously.
Normal Mode
When installed on both interior and exterior sides of the door with the door closed, the light beams do not pass through. In this configuration, regardless of which light beam within the curtain is blocked, the system immediately generates a door-opening signal.

1. Light leakage during door descent causing discontinuous beam blocking 2. Bottommost beam blocked 3. Lower door/obstruction doesn't meet minimum distance for continuous blocking |
Identify and address specific issue |
Important Safety Precautions:
- Keep connecting cables away from high voltage or high current conductors
- Ensure lower door or obstructive object meets minimum distance required for continuous blocking
- Wipe emitter and receiver windows with dry, soft cloth to prevent dirt affecting operation
- Do not bend or twist the light curtain
- Avoid direct exposure of sunlight or other infrared light sources to the receiver
- Avoid scratching the surface of infrared lenses
