The Solvent Recovery Systems recover the solvent used in extraction so that it can be circulated back to the process. The system has two parts: a condensing recovery system and a mineral oil system. The condensing recovery equipment includes the condenser, the solvent water separator and the boiling tank, and the condenser can be configured to the actual site conditions. Recovering the solvent lowers solvent consumption and improves the safety of the extraction workshop, and our equipment is easy to maintain with a high solvent recovery rate.

After condensing recovery, the vent gas still carries a trace of solvent, which is captured by the mineral oil system. That part of the plant consists of an absorption column, a desorption column, a cooler, a heater and a heat exchanger. Vent gas rises through the absorption column and contacts cold lean oil flowing down over stainless steel packing, so the solvent vapour is absorbed and the lean oil becomes rich oil. The rich oil is heated and stripped with direct steam in the desorption column, and the lean oil is cooled and returned to the absorption column for circulation.

The solvent recovery system is applied in every solvent extraction workshop wherever solvent vapour is generated, including the extractor, the evaporators, the stripping tower and the desolventizer toaster. It serves edible oil plants of all sizes, from small batch tank extractors to large continuous lines, and it also applies to any solvent based extraction process that needs low solvent consumption and a safe working environment.

The recovery system is shipped in transport sections with the columns, condensers, heat exchangers and pumps protected and braced for sea transport. We supply the flow diagrams, equipment layouts and an operating manual, and offer a commissioning service. A twelve month warranty applies to the columns, heat exchangers and pumps.
