Rendering turns slaughterhouse and butchery by products into valuable fat, protein meal and sterilised tallow. The process must heat the raw material thoroughly enough to release the fat and destroy pathogens, yet gently enough to keep the protein and fat quality high, and it must contain odours and vapours for a clean working environment.

The Animal Rendering Cooker Equipment uses a steam jacketed horizontal cooker fitted with a rotating agitator. Raw material is loaded into the cooker, heated indirectly by steam in the jacket and cooked to a controlled temperature, so that fat separates from the solids and the whole batch is sterilised. The cooked mass is then drained and pressed so that the liquid tallow is separated from the solid protein meal.

Fully enclosed processing keeps odours inside the plant, and the recovered tallow is a clean, bright, low moisture product ready for refining into edible fat or for industrial use. The meal is dried further for use as a high protein feed ingredient, turning what was once waste into two saleable products.

The Animal Rendering Cooker Equipment is used in slaughterhouses, butcheries, poultry processing plants, fish processing factories and specialised rendering plants. It processes meat and bone, fat trimmings, poultry offal and fish waste, producing tallow or lard for the edible oil and oleochemical industries and a sterilised protein meal for animal feed.

The cooker is shipped fully assembled on a steel skid with the drive, steam connections and control panel protected for sea transport. All openings are capped and the painted surface is protected with film. Installation drawings, a commissioning check list and spare wearing parts are provided, and the cooker carries a twelve month warranty against manufacturing defects.
