Color TPU Paint Protection Film

  1. The production of colored TPU car paint protection film integrates material modification, precision coating, and multi-layer compounding, with core steps condensed as follows:

    1. TPU Substrate Preparation: Blend basic TPU granules with color masterbatches (for custom hues), anti-UV agents, and abrasion-resistant additives uniformly. Melt the mixture at 190-230℃ via a twin-screw extruder, extrude into 0.05-0.1mm thick films through a casting die, and cool rapidly to shape.
    2. Functional Layer Coating & Compounding:
      • Coat the substrate’s car-paint side with 0.01-0.02mm pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) via micro-gravure coating, then cure at low temperature.
      • Compound a 0.005-0.01mm functional topcoat (fluororesin/polyurethane for self-healing; matting/high-gloss resins for texture) on the exposed side. Age the multi-layer structure for 24-48 hours to stabilize adhesion.
    3. Post-processing: Precisely slit the film to required widths, apply a PET release film to the PSA side, and package after quality checks.
