Product Overview
Tubular Chipboard (also known as hollow core chipboard, tubular core particleboard, or hollow particleboard) is an engineered wood panel made from wood particles and resin. It features internal tubular (hollow) holes running horizontally through the board during manufacturing (via extrusion). This makes it significantly lighter — typically 50-60% lighter than solid chipboard or timber — while maintaining good stability and strength.
Door Cores (most common use): Widely used as a lightweight filling/core material in interior doors, wooden doors, and fire-rated doors. It allows for easier handling, veneering, laminating, and installation while providing decent structural performance.
Furniture: Used in lightweight furniture components where reduced weight is beneficial without sacrificing too much strength.
Partition Walls and Room Dividers: Serves as stuffing or core material for partitions, helping separate rooms.
Decorative and Architectural Applications: Used in interior decoration, wall panels, and some flooring-related elements.
Other: Occasionally in cabinetry, shelving, or other non-load-bearing applications where weight reduction is key.
