The KYN28-12 and KYN61-40.5 Series are high-voltage, metal-clad switchgear assemblies designed for primary distribution in power plants, substations, and industrial complexes. Engineered for systems ranging from 11kV to 36kV, this series features a fully removable (withdrawable) circuit breaker truck, allowing for rapid maintenance and testing while ensuring maximum operator safety.
Constructed with premium Al-Zn coated steel and divided into four distinct pressure-relieved compartments, our switchgear provides a "Zero-Accident" environment. Whether you are upgrading a municipal grid or powering a heavy-duty mining operation, the KYN series offers the dielectric strength and short-circuit withstand required for modern high-voltage infrastructure.
Metal-Clad Compartmentalization: The interior is strictly divided into the Circuit Breaker Room, Busbar Room, Cable Room, and Relay/Instrument Room. Each compartment is equipped with its own pressure-relief flap to vent gases upward during an internal arc fault.
Intelligent Mechanical Interlocking: The "Five-Prevention" logic prevents accidental contact with live parts. The breaker truck can only be moved between "Test" and "Service" positions when the door is closed and the earthing switch is open.
Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) Integration: Compatible with world-class VCBs, including the ABB VD4 series, Schneider EV12 series, or our own high-performance VS1 breakers. These units offer maintenance-free operation for up to 10,000 switching cycles.
Corrosion-Resistant Enclosure: Built with high-strength Al-Zn (Aluminum-Zinc) coated steel platesthat are CNC-bent and bolted. This provides superior anti-corrosion properties and mechanical stability compared to traditional welded steel.
Advanced Monitoring & Protection: Supports the integration of digital microcomputer protection relays (SEL, ABB, or Siemens) for real-time monitoring of overcurrent, earth faults, and differential protection.

Utility Substations: Primary step-down switchgear for municipal power grids and rural electrification.
Renewable Energy Hubs: Main HV collection panels for large-scale solar farms and wind turbine arrays.
Heavy Industry & Mining: Reliable power control for high-voltage motors, smelters, and chemical processing plants.
Infrastructural Projects: High-voltage distribution for international airports, railway traction stations, and hospitals.
Fully Tested Reliability: Every unit undergoes rigorous Type Testing and Routine Testing, including Power Frequency Withstand, Partial Discharge (PD) measurements, and Mechanical Sequence testing.
Custom Engineering: We offer bespoke cabinet dimensions and internal configurations to fit restricted substation footprints or existing busbar alignments.
Tropicalized Insulation: For humid or coastal regions, we provide enhanced creepage distances and anti-condensation heaters to prevent tracking and flashovers.
Secure Export Packaging: Shipped in reinforced, moisture-barrier crates to ensure the delicate VCB and relay components arrive in perfect calibration.
Q: Can this switchgear be used for outdoor applications?
A: The KYN28/KYN61 is an indoor design. For outdoor use, it must be installed within a "Compact Substation" (Power Container) or an e-house. We can provide the complete outdoor enclosure upon request.
Q: What is the benefit of Al-Zn coated steel over standard painted steel?
A: Al-Zn coating provides "self-healing" properties on cut edges, offering vastly superior rust resistance without the need for thick paint, which can flake or chip over time.
Q: Is the earthing switch manual or motorized?
A: Standard configuration is manual operation with a safety interlock handle. However, motorized earthing switches are available for remote-control applications.
