DESCRIPTION

SSI Disc Diffuser System combines engineering excellence, superior component quality, and a technically advanced product design. Proven highly durable and efficient in thousands of municipal and industrial installations around the world, this advanced system has reliability built into every stage of performance. SSI's AFD comes in several membrane materials including our patented PTFE membrane, designed to use less energy and require minimal maintenance. The diffuser base is molded with virgin polypropylene for extended performance. SSI's disc diffusers offer higher airflow at 2.0-4.0 SCFM, with the same efficiency with more surface area covered.

Material Introduce

Creep Resistance:

Creep is a common phenomenon that happens to most diffusers when membranes lose elasticity due to their time in service. Creep happens to membranes faster when they are operated in higher temperatures. Our PTFE diffusers have shown good resistance to creep as was proven in a test conducted by Akron Rubber Development Lab. As you can see in the graphs below, when the PTFE (sample P) and a standard EPDM membrane material (sample S) were stretched to 120% their original length and submerged half in 70o C water and the other half exposed to 70o C (to simulate the wetted and non-wetted sides of a diffuser in operation), the creep noticed in the standard EPDM membrane was almost 300% more.

Installation Method

SSI disk aerator can be installed on PVC branch pipe through quick connect saddle, Grommet connection, etc. SSI pre-installed aeration disk, rotate 1/4 turn can be installed on the quick connect saddle, this saddle is suitable for 9" and 12" aeration disk for installation.

• Patented PTFE membranes prolong the efficiency and reduce whole-life costs.

SSI’s patented PTFE membrane barrier properties not only reduce plasticizer extraction, shrinking, and membrane hardening but also limit dynamic changes that can result from swell, such as creep. Compared with uncoated products that are more susceptible to increases in DWP due to more aggressive fouling and changes in physical properties and weight, the PTFE-coated membrane improves the consistency of DWP (Headloss) values over the product life. This directly impacts long-term power costs and the ability of the system to distribute air uniformly across the tank floor.

• SSI Telemetry – the inside story solves maintenance problems

At the click of a mouse, you will know the DWP of your diffuser membranes, the airflow rate to that monitored diffuser, and the air temperature in the submerged piping system. You can sense vibration, pipe rollover, and water in the grid. Automatic moisture purging and automatic acid dosing systems are available. Through multiple cameras, you can see both inside the grids and surface bubble patterns. Wet probes are also available for DO and WW temperatures. Tracking all this data on a user-friendly online dashboard facilitates communication between consultant and client, manufacturer and rep. This smart technology lets you locate problem areas and allocate resources more efficiently. SSI Telemetry is your preventive maintenance hub in the heart of the plant.
