1. Fender Liner (1-2 pieces, based on position): Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) — materials resistant to impact, corrosion (road salt, rain), and low/high temperatures (-30℃ to 80℃), avoiding cracking or deformation.
2. Mounting Hardware: Includes plastic clips and screws (OE-matched) for securing the liner to the fender and body, ensuring no loosening or rattling during driving.

• Core Functions

1. Protects Underbody Components: Blocks road debris (gravel, stones), mud, and road salt from hitting the fender, suspension parts, and wiring harnesses, preventing scratches, rust, or short circuits.
2. Reduces Wind Noise: The liner’s structure reduces airflow turbulence inside the fender, lowering driving wind noise and improving cabin quietness.
3. Guides Water Drainage: Channels rainwater/mud away from the fender and body, avoiding water accumulation that causes rust.

Installation & Usage Notes

1. Confirm the liner’s position (front left/right, rear left/right) via VIN or the V40 service manual — liners for different positions have unique contours and cannot be interchanged.
2. Clean the fender inner surface before installation (remove old mud/debris) to ensure the liner adheres tightly.
3. Use the included OE clips/screws; torque to 5-8 N·m (avoid over-tightening, which may crack the liner or fender).
4. Inspect the liner quarterly: Replace it if there are large cracks or missing clips (damaged liners lose protective effectiveness).

A: Signs of a failing bumper bracket include visible damage or deformation, misaligned bumper panels, unusual noises from the front end, or if the bumper appears loose or sagging on one side.
