1.725MW 10kV Hybrid Solar Energy Storage Power Conversion System
The Voltertech BESS-1725MW-W is a 1.725MW transformer-isolated power conversion unit designed for MW-scale hybrid solar and battery energy storage projects. It connects a compatible 1000–1500V DC battery system to a 10kV medium-voltage AC network and supports project-level EMS and dispatch communication.
In a large hybrid solar plant, PV generation, battery storage and the grid must operate as one coordinated energy system. The BESS-1725MW-W provides the power conversion interface for the battery side, allowing stored DC energy to be converted for a 10kV AC network.
Its 1.725MW power class makes it suitable for solar-plus-storage plants, industrial microgrids and other MW-scale renewable energy projects.

The 1.725MW rating describes the power conversion capability of the system, while battery capacity is specified separately in MWh. The required battery capacity therefore depends on the target discharge duration and operating strategy.
During project design, the battery voltage must also remain compatible with the specified 1000–1500V DC operating window.
The AC side is rated at 1725kVA and 10kV, allowing the unit to connect the battery conversion section to a medium-voltage project network.
Transformer isolation is integrated into the AC-side architecture, while an adjustable power factor from -1 to +1 provides additional flexibility when matching the PCS to project electrical requirements.
Hybrid solar projects require coordinated control between battery storage, PCS, PV generation and grid operation. The BESS-1725MW-W provides communication interfaces for both battery-side control and plant-level dispatch.
Final EMS and SCADA compatibility should be checked during project engineering.
The PCS converts energy between a compatible high-voltage DC battery system and the AC network. In a hybrid solar project, it works with the battery, EMS and other plant equipment to manage battery charging and discharging.
Battery capacity depends on the required discharge duration. The 1.725MW rating defines power, while the battery energy requirement should be calculated separately in MWh according to the project's operating hours and usable energy target.
The specified DC operating range is 1000–1500V with a maximum DC current of 1808A. The battery configuration should be engineered to remain within these electrical limits.
The AC side is rated at 1725kVA and 10kV with transformer isolation. Final connection, protection and grid-compliance requirements should be confirmed according to the project's electrical design.
Yes. Dispatch communication options include Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP and IEC 60870-5-104, while CAN and RS485 are provided for battery communication. Final protocol compatibility should be confirmed before project integration.
