Galvalume coated steel is an alloy consisting of approximately 55% aluminum and 45% zinc and is applied by the continuous hot-dip process.

Galvalume steel combines the best qualities of aluminum and zinc offering approximately twice the corrosion resistance of galvanized. The aluminum-zinc coating provides superior corrosion resistance and heat reflectivity. It also has good bare edge protection and forming qualities.

Galvalume has a smooth, silvery metallic spangle appearance that also makes it attractive in unpainted applications such as roofing and architectural.
