The Electronic Loading Melt Flow Index Tester is a high-precision instrument engineered for melt flow rate (MFR) and melt volume rate (MVR) analysis of plastics and resins. It characterizes thermoplastic materials under controlled temperature and load conditions, calculating MFR/MVR values from the quantity of molten material extruded through a standard die within a 10-minute interval.

The tester accommodates high-temperature engineering materials such as polycarbonate, aromatic sulfone, fluoroplastics and nylon, as well as low-melting-point polymers including polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), ABS resin, polyoxymethylene (POM) and polycarbonate (PC). It is widely adopted in plastic manufacturing, plastic product fabrication, petrochemical sectors, and by universities and research institutes engaged in polymer material research.

• Three platinum resistance sensors and three independent heating jackets enable distributed temperature regulation, with high-accuracy intelligent PID control and configurable heating ramp rates.
• Supports mass method, volume method, and dual-mode simultaneous measurement, including flow rate ratio calculation. Data acquisition for both modes begins once the piston rod reaches the designated position.
• Adjustable specimen preheating countdown up to 240 seconds in compliance with GB3682; automatic weight loading and interval-based automatic cutting start upon countdown completion. Preheating time can also be configured to ASTM standards.
• Pre-programmed test condition presets for melt index measurement of various plastics simplify operation workflows. Finalized test parameters and results are saved, and the integrated microcomputer enables direct printing of test data.
• Reserved RS232 and USB ports allow PC connection for remote instrument control and transfer of stored test data to external computers.
• Weight loading supports manual operation or automatic top-load adjustment via ball screw rotation driven by a stepping motor to add or remove load.

The instrument complies with ISO 1133, ASTM D1238, ASTM D3364, and Method A and Method B specified in GB/T 3682.

The Melt Flow Index Tester is packed within a robust wooden crate lined with foam cushioning to safeguard the unit against damage during transportation. All matching accessories are individually sealed in plastic pouches and arranged in dedicated compartments inside the crate. The crate is sealed with tamper-evident adhesive tape, signifying that the instrument has undergone factory inspection prior to delivery.
