What is an Idler?
The CHT idler is engineered for uncompromising durability and workplace safety, featuring advanced structural design and precision manufacturing. Its keyed idler-axle joint widens the bearing contact area, enhances torque transmission efficiency, and synchronizes service life with all undercarriage components—effectively eliminating uneven wear.
Manufactured through premium alkali phenolic resin sand casting or sodium silicate-bonded sand casting processes, this idler delivers robust construction and perfect dimensional stability. After specialized heat treatment, it achieves HRC 48-58 surface hardness with a 4-6mm hardened layer (HRC 45), providing outstanding impact and wear resistance for harsh mining and construction conditions.
Final finishing on a CK5110 large-scale CNC vertical lathe ensures precise dimensional accuracy and smooth surface finish for seamless assembly. The extended service life reduces frequent part replacements, minimizing maintenance-related safety hazards and contributing to workplace safety improvements.
