In laboratories, there are typically three types of centrifuges: a small tabletop centrifuge for quick sample homogenization, a high-speed benchtop centrifuge for micro-tubes, and a versatile refrigerated full-sized centrifuge. The high-speed benchtop centrifuge can reach speeds of up to 17,000 rpm and is ideal for 1.5-2ml micro-tubes. The third centrifuge is the most robust, capable of spinning down various tube sizes, conical vials, 96-well plates, and more, while maintaining specific temperature conditions.
