Litz Wire 0.071mmx615 Nylon Serving Litz Wire Copper Stranded Wire For HF Transformer
Why Use Nylon Serving Specifically on Litz Wire?
Litz wire is inherently delicate because its strands are very fine (can be as thin as 0.025mm).
Without protection:
Strands can break during winding or handling.
The insulation (often a thin enamel) can be scraped off.
The overall bundle can become unwieldy.
The nylon serving acts as a tough, unified jacket that:
Binds the strands into a coherent, easy-to-handle cable.
Protects against abrasion during winding on bobbins or cores.
Provides thermal protection briefly during soldering (nylon melts at a much higher temperature than standard enamel).
Adds mechanical strength for pull-through and installation.
