Q: Why 316 over 304 for marine applications?
A: 316 stainless steel contains 2-3% molybdenum which provides significantly better resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion in saltwater compared to 304. We recommend 316 for any seawater-exposed application.

A: We can CNC turn shafts up to 1500mm in length with consistent diameter tolerance. Longer shafts available with center-rest support.
