This CNC turned carbon steel 1045 gear shaft is designed for heavy-duty power transmission applications. Featuring induction hardening to HRC 28-35 on the gear tooth surface while maintaining core toughness, the shaft delivers excellent wear resistance without brittleness. Manufactured on high-rigidity CNC turning centers to ±0.02mm tolerance with keyway and spline machining in a single setup. Maximum length capability of 1500mm. Suitable for construction machinery, mining equipment, and industrial gearboxes.
As a leading CNC turning manufacturer with over 15 years of precision machining experience, we produce CNC Turned Carbon Steel 1045...

Q: What's the difference between induction hardening and carburizing?
A: Induction hardening selectively hardens the surface (typically gear teeth) while leaving the core tough and ductile. Carburizing hardens the entire surface uniformly. Induction hardening is faster and cheaper for medium-carbon steels like 1045.
Q: What testing do you perform on gear shafts?
A: We perform dimensional inspection (CMM), Rockwell hardness testing, magnetic particle inspection (MPI) for surface cracks, and runout measurement on all gear shafts.
Q: Can you manufacture shafts up to 1500mm?
A: Yes, our large-capacity CNC lathes can handle shafts up to 1500mm length with steady-rest support for consistent diameter tolerance along the entire length.
