The purpose of belt drive with tensioner is to adjust the initial tension of the belt. In order to control the tension of the belt, the follower is pressed against the belt by the tensioner. It is a belt-driven tensioning device. When the center distance of the belt cannot be adjusted, a tensioning wheel can be used to tension the belt. The pulley is driven by friction. When installing, the belt must be tensioned. But after working for a period of time, it is stretched and loosened, and it is easy to slip and must be re-tensioned.
If the center distance of the two driving wheels cannot be adjusted, a tensioning wheel must be used to ensure normal transmission without slipping.
The tension pulley uses spring or oil pressure to generate a force to tighten the belt so that the belt can be pressed on the working pulley with proper pressure.
The tension wheel is pressed on the outside of the loose edge. The latter causes the belt to withstand reverse bending, which reduces the life. This type of device is often used in transmissions where the wrap angle needs to be increased or the space is limited.
