Product Overview

For crews who must grip a bare conductor quickly and firmly, the SLW(S) sock joint is the practical answer. Its stainless steel weave tightens evenly around ACSR conductors from 70 to 1250 sqmm, holding working loads of 15-120KN while breaking strength reaches 30-250KN. The interlocking mesh spreads clamping pressure around the whole circumference, and a zinc-nickel coating keeps the weave rust-free in humid air. Typical duties include line terminations, substation cable hook-ups and underground splices, plus rapid emergency repairs.
