The AC Resonant Test System for High Voltage Cable Testing is designed for AC withstand voltage testing of medium-voltage, high-voltage and extra-high-voltage XLPE cables.

Cable systems become increasingly capacitive as voltage level and cable length increase. Conventional AC test transformers may require large power capacity for these applications.

A variable frequency series resonant system provides an efficient solution by tuning the reactor and cable capacitance into resonance.
