Scourer wire is used for stainless steel scouring pads and cleaning mesh, where wire diameter consistency and surface condition determine how evenly the mesh forms and how the finished pad performs. This wire is supplied in 430 and 304 grades, with diameters selectable within the 0.15-12mm range.
Grade 430 is a ferritic stainless steel chosen for cost efficiency in general cleaning pads; 304 is selected where higher corrosion resistance is required, particularly for pads used with water or detergents. Wire is cold drawn and bright finished, then packed in coils or on spools for knitting and crimping lines.
