1.Structure
The PTC heating element can be bonded or non bonded to the metal sheet.
The wire can be insulated with PTFE, silicone rubber, or PVC.
The insulation layer can be multi-layer wrapped with polyimide or other insulating films, generally used in high-temperature applications; In low-temperature environments, PET, PU, or other tubular insulation layers can also be used, which have a compact structure and can be made waterproof.
2. Examples of uses.
The main uses include: straightener, curling iron, wax melting device, hot water, steam generator, humidifier, heating and insulation of food and beverages, glue machine, hot melt glue gun, shoe dryer, hand and foot warmer, massager, and therapy device.
The characteristic of PTC heater is automatic constant temperature, which does not require additional temperature control in many cases, has low leakage current, and has a long service life. PTC heaters that heat liquids will not be damaged even in the absence of liquid. In situations where the terminal temperature of the product is below 260 ℃, using PTC heating has significant advantages.
3. Precautions for use.
1) The heating power decreases from high to low after being powered on, and finally stabilizes. The stable power is related to the usage conditions. For the same PTC heater, the power may differ by several times depending on the usage conditions. The higher the surface temperature of PTC, the larger the heating area, and the faster the heat dissipation, the greater the stable power.
2) The variation of working voltage has a relatively small impact on surface temperature. When the working voltage increases by 2 times (or decreases by 1/2), the surface temperature rises (or falls) by about 8 ℃.
3) The PTC produced by our company has high reliability and a long lifespan. However, if not assembled properly, the final product may experience loosening, power and temperature changes, and other issues.
4) When multiple PTCs are used together, they should be connected in parallel and not in series.
