Silicone Surfactant for Stabilizer and Emulsifier In the Application of Polyurethane Foam
Description:
Silicon surfactants have the characteristics of strong surface activity, high temperature resistance, and non toxicity, as well as low surface tension, good wetting and spreading properties. It is mainly used as foam stabilizer, defoamer, textile softener and finishing agent, etc., and also widely used in many fields as polyurethane foam foam homogenizer, pesticide additives, cosmetics additives, etc
Application:
- Silicone surfactant is mainly used as foam stabilizer, defoamer, textile fabric softener and finishing agent, crude oil demulsifier, wax inhibitor and various lubricating release agents.
- In the field of cosmetics, silicone surfactants are widely used as emulsifiers, emollients and antistatic agents. They can be used in perfume, shampoos and shampoos to emulsify, foam, disperse and solubilize, improve the performance of cosmetics, have no side effects on human body, and form a protective film on the skin surface to prevent skin dryness.
- In the field of pesticide additives, organosilicon surfactants, as spray modifiers and leaf absorption additives, can significantly enhance the wetting, adhesion and spreading ability of the liquid medicine on the surface of plants or pests, thus improving the efficacy, reducing the dosage, and having the ability to resist rain wash. For example, the agricultural organic silicon surfactant polyether modified heptamethyltrisiloxane can greatly reduce the surface tension of the solution to 21.5 mN/m, and another product "Shiwei" can also reduce the surface tension to 20-21.5 mN/m, improving the effective utilization rate of pesticides.
- In the field of defoamers, organic silicon surfactants, as highly efficient defoamers, have the characteristics of fast defoaming, long foam inhibition, good thermal and chemical stability, and can be widely used in industrial fields such as distillation, chemical engineering, fermentation, coatings, and wastewater treatment.
- In the textile industry, organic silicon surfactants serve as softeners and finishing agents, which can improve the hand feel, wetting properties, prevent static electricity generation, and enhance the hydrophilicity, antistatic properties, and stain resistance of fabrics.
- In the application of polyurethane foam plastics, silicone surfactant is used as stabilizer and emulsifier in the production of polyurethane foam for household, automobile, refrigerator, etc. It can emulsify raw materials, promote nucleation, and stabilize foam. The relevant products have formed a special silicone surfactant standard for household polyurethane soft foam, automotive polyurethane high resilience foam and refrigerator polyurethane hard foam. There are also many types of silicone surfactant products for hard foam, soft foam and high resilience foam on the market.
- In the coating industry, silicone surfactants are used as flow improvers, lubricants, foam stabilizers and lotion stabilizers to improve coating performance.
- In other fields, organic silicon surfactants can also be used as crude oil demulsifiers, leather treatment agents, glass anti fog agents, and release agent
