Rubber-to-Metal Bonding Agent 830GB
Single Coat Versatile Adhesive for Multi-Substrate Elastomer Vulcanization
Rubber to Metal Bonding Agent 830GB is a single-coat adhesive designed to bond a wide variety of elastomers to various substrates during the vulcanization process. It is composed of a mixture of polymers, organic compounds, and mineral fillers dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent system. It is an effective equivalent to Chemlok 250/6150, Cilbond 89E, and Thixon 2001.
Key Features & Benefits
- Convenient Single-Coat System: Requires only one coat for most applications, reducing labor, solvent usage, inventory, and operational costs
- Versatile Substrate Compatibility: Bonds a wide variety of elastomers (NR, IR, SBR, BR, CR, NBR, IIR, EPDM, ECO) to metals including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, magnesium, and zinc — as well as plastics, composites, and fabrics
- Durable Bonding Performance: Provides rubber-tearing bonds with superior adhesion to plated metals, lowering scrap rates
- Excellent Process Tolerance: Resists moderate prebaking without affecting bond performance, suitable for compression, transfer, and injection molding
- Flexible Application Methods: Suitable for brush, dip, roll coating, spray, and electrostatic application techniques

Application Guidelines
Thoroughly stir before use and agitate during application to maintain uniform dispersion. Apply by brush (full strength), dip (dilute 10-25% with xylene), roll coating (full strength), or spray (dilute 25-50% with xylene). Typical dry film thickness: 17.8-30.5 μm for one-coat applications, 15.2-20.3 μm when used as a cover coat over primer. Drying at room temperature takes approximately 20-40 minutes. Metal parts may be preheated to a maximum of 65°C prior to application. Use xylene or MEK for cleanup before curing.
Packaging & Storage
Available in 3.5 kg/drum and 20 kg/drum packaging. Store in a well-ventilated area at 21-27°C in original, unopened containers. Shelf life is one year from date of shipment. Avoid excessive exposure to high humidity. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Do not store or use near heat, sparks, or open flame.
