Isolation Transformer
A stationary electrical device that utilizes electromagnetic induction to transform voltage or current between two or more windings at the same frequency.
Transformer Characteristics
SG and SBK three-phase dry-type transformers feature a core and windings that are not immersed in insulating liquid medium (transformer oil). Instead, they are directly exposed to air, relying on natural convection for heat dissipation.
The SG-type three-phase dry-type rectifier transformer is a crucial component in rectifier equipment (classified as a dry-type transformer). It forms rectifier circuit systems when combined with various rectifier devices. To convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC), the rectifier transformer first transforms the voltage from the AC grid into a voltage of a specific magnitude and phase number. This transformed voltage then passes through the rectifier device (rectifier) before being output to DC traction equipment.
Operating Conditions
The transformer can operate reliably under the following conditions:
  • Altitude does not exceed 2500m
  • Ambient medium temperature:
    • Minimum temperature not lower than -25°C
    • Maximum air temperature not higher than +40°C
  • Relative humidity: Average maximum relative humidity during the wettest month does not exceed 95%; simultaneously, the average minimum temperature for that month is +25°C
  • Current and voltage waveforms are approximately sinusoidal
  • Locations free from rain and snow erosion
  • Areas without significant shaking or impact vibration
  • Environments without explosion hazards, and free from gases or conductive dust capable of corroding metals or damaging insulation
